The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,And sorry I could not travel bothAnd be one traveler, long I stoodAnd looked down one as far as I couldTo where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,And having perhaps the better claim,Because it was grassy and wanted wear;Though as for that the passing thereHad worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally layIn leaves no step had trodden black.Oh, I kept the first for another day!Yet knowing how way leads on to way,I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sighSomewhere ages and ages hence:Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.

Countryside View

This is looking out from the deck of my folks house...this is the view from behind their house. It was once farmland owned and worked by my Uncle David. In the fall you get lovely colors of those trees. It is really nice and peaceful out there. I miss living in the country. There is a little creek that runs down near those woods, not far from my parents place.
Lots of memories here.

Tim Horton's aka "Timmy's"

Well Tim Horton's is a chain of coffee/donut shops thruout Canada. At least every city or town has one. But bigger areas sometimes boast 5 to 10. They are almost on every corner of Canada. But we all love our "Timmy's"...my hubby enjoys their strong coffee and I enjoy their steeped black tea. I usually have 2 to 3 a day from Timmy's. The only thing I don't like is when they can't get the order right or they keep asking what was it you said. The other day Ed came home with 2 coffee's and my tea...well when I finally finished my other one that I had...I grabbed the one he brought home and I knew when I saw that big letter "B" on it, they goofed. It was Black Coffee...see I told you they can't hear too good or they just don't care. But anyhow we enjoy Timmy's and will probably go there forever. It was really nice when Newcastle got their Timmy's chain.
And I believe the Canucks love their coffee and donuts...they have many other chains as well besides Tim Horton's. They have Country Style, Coffee Time, Baker's Dozen and even some Starbucks are coming in the area. Well hope you all enjoy your coffee/tea today!

Cheers!!

Today is my son's Birthday!!

Well today is an "important" day for me. It was 29 years ago that this young fella was born. He is my son and I named him "Eric Michael" Welch. Currently he is my "Island Boy." He decided to live some island life over in Hawaii. He is located on the island of Oahu in Honolulu. He works 2 jobs...he works for a Smoothie maker and all them Power Juices at Jamba Juice and then at a movie entertainment complex..the Ward theaters. But today I want to wish him a
"Happy 29th Birthday!" He sure is making his mom an "old lady." I hope he has many more birthdays to come!!
Happy Birthday Eric (my Godzilla Boy)!! Love from your Mom :o)

The "Orange Monster" Machine

Well I would like to introduce you all to my "orange monster" machine. In these here parts of south central ontario, I am known to tear up the lawns with this here machine of mine. I love to race and do "wheelies" with it. But for the most part I just take her out and let her rip. Once a week I get to race her around on our property. This machine also can spit out green grass too...as Louie would tell ya. I have had some run-ins with nearby trees and buildings. I guess in my day and age, I should "slow up" a bit. But I must admit I am getting much better and rarely run into any barriers that are in my way. I found out I can manuever around things and not hit them straight on. But I do love to zip around and do my "wheelies" on my Orange Monster...the breeze feels so good when you put it into 5th. Hey, if any of you want to take me on with your Monster Machine (whatever color it may be) ...just let me know. I love a good race!!

CEO and Transmission Tech Expert

Well you are probably all wondering what do I do up here in Canada. Well I run a business called Newcastle Transmission. I am CEO and I delegate most of the work to my husband, Ed.
I am also a Transmission (Tranney) Tech Expert. I specialize my talents in the art of cleaning tranney cases, like as you see in this photo here. And I have Ed rebuild them and put them back into our clients vehicles. Since I just started my position this month as CEO, I get to decide what vehicles we can work on or not. So far, I am enjoying it alot!! I'm not to sure about my diligent worker. He isn't use to having a woman tell him what to do, but I figured it was time and since I'm elder to him...I should be respected. :o) But this here photo of me is me hard at work...and I make sure every tranney case is spotlessly clean. They all shine like a special jewel. So this is one of many things I do up here. And Ed says bring your car up and he'll take care of it for you. Later!

Three Hula Babes

Well here we are having the start of a great time! Last year we decided to surprise each other. I kept my secret pretty well and turn to find out my sisters kept their secret as well. We all confided our secrets with our parents. They laughed each time we told them about what we were doing. Well the day finally came and my sisters were headed up to see me where I am located in Ontario, Canada. They enjoy taking a break from their busy life of work and families and I try to make it fun and relaxing for them I once worked and know how they feel. So anyhow...they are making their way up which is a 5 1/2 to 6 hr drive.

I am getting things ready at the house for them. I have come up with a "Tropical Theme" for their stay. I have decorated their bedroom with tropical stuff and I created a tropical dream out on my back deck for them. I even have "goody" bags for them...something special for them to look at and have fun. So I have the music playing and I'm sitting there waiting patiently for them. I see a car...yep they are here! And I am happy happy happy!!

Well they toot the horn and hop out of the car with bags in their hands and then they surprised me as well as I did with them. They had been thinking along the same line as me. Everything they had in the bags were related to tropical stuff. So we get everything out and decorate more. And they even each brought "goody" bags with them to hand out. So much excitement and fun we are going to have for the next 7 days. So I will stop here and you can see us Hula Babes in our tropical gear.
